Idris A (Enoch)

Idris A (Enoch)

Idris A (Enoch) was a Rasul (Messenger) of Allah (God). He was born only a few generations after Adam A (Adam), and is said to be the first Rasul (Messenger) of Allah (God) after Adam A (Adam). He is mentioned in the Holy Qur-an at several places.
Idris A (Enoch) was born in Babylon and grew up there. He followed the religion of Islam, which was the original religion, as preached by Adam A (Adam).
People of Idris A (Enoch) had turned away from the religion of Allah (God). He called his people back to his forefathers religion, but only a very few listened to him. Majority of his people had turned away from the religion of Allah (God) and did not listen to his preachings. They forced him and his followers out of Babylon.
Idris A (Enoch) and his followers left for Misr (Egypt). Idris A (Enoch) called the people of Misr (Egypt) to the path of Allah (God). He taught them how to pray to Allah (God) and asked them to fast on certain days and to pay Zakah to the poor and needy.
Allah (God) has praised Idris A (Enoch) in the Holy Qur-an at several places.
And mention in the Book (the Qur-an) 'Idris (Enoch). Verily he was a man of truth, (and) a Prophet.
And We raised him to a high station.
Surah (Chapter) Maryam (Mary) 19:56-57 Qur-an
And (remember) Isma'il (Ishmael), and Idris (Enoch) and Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah): all were from among As-Sabirun (the patient).
And We admitted them to Our Mercy. Verily, they were of the righteous.
Surah (Chapter) Ta-Ha Qur-an 21:85-86 Qur-an
