Satyakant (Mithun Chakraborty) is a School Teacher with two sons, Surya aka the titular character Boss and Shiv. After circumstances lead Surya to be disowned by his family, he is helped by Big Boss (Danny Denzongpa), a transport business owner. Years later, Satyakant’s younger son, Shiv (Shiv Pandit), bashes up the Home Minister’s son Vishal who is harassing Ankita (Aditi Rao Hydari), the sister of a corrupt cop (Ronit Roy) and gets into trouble.
